Smart Objectives

Today I am going to write the Smart Objectives for my set project this term. 

 

Smart Goals

Specific

My project will be a short animation raising awareness of mental health issues based on the idea that the night is a moment when everyone can be truly themselves. For the animation I will also make 4 posters advertising it and for the 3D piece I will use a 3D modeling software to sculpt a character. 

Measurable

This project is measurable because I will know it is completed when I have a short animation, 4 posters and a 3D sculpture of the character. 

Achievable

This project is big and I think it will need a lot of attention from me and it will challenge me in multiple ways, however knowing my work ethics and my abilities now, I think that I can say that I will be able to complete this project. 

Relevant

The project is strictly in my progression route since it is an animation. For the posters I will be able to work on my design skills and for the 3D modeling in a software skills that I would really want to develop. As I mentioned earlier, this will be a challenging project for me but I need a challenge. The theme is Ultimate Black and I am going to treat it as a jumping point and get most of my inspiration from the night and what the night means to people, how it is the time to heal and show someone's true self. For the research, I am going to look at some examples from the literature and also look at animators and storyboard artists to improve my work. I will also dig deep in the 3D modeling software and research artists who create 3D models so I can learn from them. 

Timely

The deadline for this project is the 7th of June, so I have about 2 months to complete it.
