Storyboarding
Storyboarding is something critical when creating an animation. It is important because it helps the animator to understand what they are trying to make and also what shots and angles should be in which scene. If animators did not have storyboards, they would get easily confused in the process. It can be understood that storyboarding is sort of like putting everything in place before animating. In the first term I did some deeper research of storyboarding and I looked at a storyboard artist. That blog post can be accessed here.
For this term I also needed to create a storyboard, since I am planning on creating an animation. This storyboard I wanted to be different. I wanted to try a variety of different shots to make it more interesting. I know the board itself is repetitive since I am planning on showing a cycle of actions, a routine. I wanted the shots to look completely different than something I have ever done. I wanted long shots and extreme close-ups to create a variety of different approaches to different scenes. I want to challenge myself as an animator. I decided to also try doing scenes I have never done before, so for example a mirror reflection shot or a bird's eye perspective.
I drew all of the parts of the board in Procreate and I but the storyboard together in PicsArt. Here are all the scenes separately:
This is strong - it really epitomises the cyclical nature of your story well. Would like to see you use more of the action lines/structure you had in some of your earlier development sketches.
